Yeah sorry about that. I only had a day to decide what I would do about LT32. My teams didn't answer my mail so I just gave the delegation to Kryon.

What ever, I troll too much (it should be clear I didn't even read this post before writting my previous reply).

Let me rewrite that, I made enough contract to know this should be more solid like this.

Declaring victors
There can be a variety of outcomes for players in Longturn games, depending on the game type. If a time limit is in place, the game will be halted at the pre-determined number of turns. If no time-limit is in place, surviving players can vote to end the game but at least 80% of players must agree to this on the forums.

There are three possible outcomes for different players across all game types:
- Victorious: a nation or a team have fulfilled the standard victory condition of the game type. Or a clear victory condition set by a poll (voted FOR at 66% or more) is fulfilled.
- Defeated: a nation is destroyed during the course of the game, or surrendered.
- Tie: a nation is still alive at the end of the game, but no one fulfil the victory condition.

At any time, a player can make a post on the forum if he want to surrender. This player can keep playing, but will not be concidered alive.

Standard Victory Conditions:

Team Game
- Teams are formed before the game begins
- Diplomacy is completely disabled between teams, and fully enabled within teams
- Victory condition is fulfil for the last team alive.

FFA Game (Lone Wolf)
- Diplomacy is completely disabled between all players
- Victory condition is fulfil for the last player alive.

FFA Game (Alliances)
- Victory condition is fulfil for alive players when the number of alive player is equal or less than the number of winners agreed upon.
- Limited or unlimited levels of diplomacy may be allowed between players (specific settings will vary between games; default - no tech/city/gold trading)

Keep crying det0r, if your alliance wanted, they could have make alliance with RAAR, Red Tide, The Church. Maybe even Edrim team.

You guys attacked everyone without thinking of the longterm concequences and ditched diplomacy. The art of growing a superpower without making too much enemies at the same time is a fine one, no kidding your alliance lost.

I care little about those points or a +1 on a website. I've been fighting because I enjoy figthing and it teach me. Beside, those player who surendered didn't had to. To me it only seem fair to vote yes.

#11 Re: LT31 » LT31 Winner Claims » 08.06.2013 03:52:38

If it was to be coded, I think it should go like this:

It would be a treaty asking someone or offering to be a vassal.

The Sovereign gain every score point of the vassal who have 0 score and the vassal state in score is displayed as ''Vassal''.
The diplomatie toward every state he have contact with is the same as the Sovereign. He can have what ever diplomatie stance he want with a nation who never came in contact with the Sovereign. But will have to line up eventually if they come in contact and the Sovereing take another diplomatic stance. This may brake alliance by forcing war on former allies.
The vassal share vision one direction with the Sovereign as part of the vassal status. But need to ask the Sovereign for is vision if he want it.
They are concidered like ally.
Sovereign cannot cancel treaty or declare war on the Vassal at all, unless the treaty is being cancelled by the Vassal. Vassal can cancel the treaty, this will make him at war with the Sovereign after 2 turns. If he do it right before TC, that mean the Sovereign got a full turn to prepare or repress the insurection with a first strike (This is to prevent a surprise attack from the inside from a cunning Vassal). Both can agree to cease fire, peace, or alliance to end the Vassalage.

Of cource him not going to code it, so this is just a random idea.

#12 Re: LT31 » LT31 Winner Claims » 07.06.2013 05:57:03

To me agreeing to be a vassal is like surrendering. You are like a governor and your cities belong to the Master Nation. Of course, in my view, a vassal state can only get back in the game and aim for victory by revolting. Declaring war on the Master Nation. And such stab in the back is not deshonoring at all since it is like breaking free of enslavement.

This was not properly corrected, but I lack the time and english skill to do it. Sorry about that. Some peoples wanted to know how you get to be a top scorer, here it is. Btw, this is what I was listenning to when playing if you want some background music (Yes I know this is totally unrelated to my nation): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JNfMupSCtQ

The Sikh nation begin as small tribes. The reason for this governement over despotism lies in the fact the capital was to be build in the middle of the island to limit corruption. Then, loosing 2 turns into anarchy for maping was ok with me. I also had plan to invade island around mine. I soon find out I was locked in deep sea without any contact possible before caravel. This would change my plan for a defensive stance and economic build up. I produced lot of workers and build building like libraries, temple and courthouse. For some reason, all the wheat was on the wrong side of the island, I had to rush for grow an then I rushed for monarchy, almost starving some cities.

At that point, military was a waste of time, the first unit I produced was a pikemen when martial law became nescessary. Knowing I was behind in tech and caravel would take the sea. I developped gun powder, prepared my army and waited for contact to be made, knowing I could protect myself from any invader. The player Soon came in contact with me. At that time I was invited in the Church. They had rules about being peace loving and everything, frankly, I trolled them to see if I could push them around and study them. They refused me but it was no surprise.

I didn't stay backward in tech for long, thanks to major efforts on that field. I found out Viznut north to me. I would join the Red Tides soon after. We tried tech trading in many ways, but it proved too dangerous and it was largely discouraged after that point. I had to devellop all my tech myself or steal them from the enemy. I made a few galleon and explored the world. Most players where colonizing around. Not me, I was develloping the mainland economy to the next level and gave everything I could so I would be one of the first industrialised communist nation. I was in a peaceful zone and didn't needed much army.

The Mainland: http://imageshack.us/a/img89/525/mainlandf.png

After I had factory in all my cities, I develloped my army and made an invasion force. The easiest target was the Church, military weaker and backward in tech. But another alliance had picked on them and the Red Tides didn't had the firepower to oppose Kryon and friends alone. It was eventually agreed we had to protect the Church so those dangerous foes does not grow too powerful and to avoid an eventual defeat. The Church asked for a fusion, but we refused to give up our victories for the Church and to respect 100% of the Church rules. We were 7 players in the Red Tide back then if I remember. We talked of ''advanced cooperation'' between the Church and the Red Tide. But as the war progressed and some Red tides members implication in the game started to fade away later (except me and Wieder), it became more of a fusion. Another reason was the time running out. It became obvious The Red Tides and the Church woudn't have the time to settle the end game before turn 180. Without risk of disagreement and eventual split for who would win, keeping the disapearing line between Church and Red Tide was pointless. We stopped calling us Red Tide and simply called ourself Church.

This is why, immediatly after they gave us view sharing, my army suddenly made a surprise attack on mmm2 force in Iran and took back the south of the island. Our enemies where quickly pushed out to one single cities protected by England and Kryon reinforcement. But that was not enough when akfaew army came in. In the aftermath, part of the island was given to me by Xercise.

Iran: http://imageshack.us/a/img822/8755/iranx.png

I did not wait much for the war in Iran to end, I was already sending units in direction of New Armenia and Japan so I could take back the land from the Spanish. I also send a decoil at England colonies so I would slow down the next move our ennemies would make. If I remember well, the decoil destroyed 8 cities. England was not ready to defend those small colonies. On the Spanish side, they had lost lot of tech for some reason. The war was easy and I was soon at range of the Spanish Mainland. there was some Japanese cities in the way, I broke Church rules and attacked them as well without remorse.

England colonies: http://imageshack.us/a/img41/9711/englishcolonies8.png
New Armenia: http://imageshack.us/a/img27/4391/newarmenia.png
Japan: http://imageshack.us/a/img855/4016/japando.png

However, a disaster happened. Many time, I wanted to take Sweden myself so our enemies could not do it. However attacking the founder of the Church was problematic for obvious reasons. So I let it happen, Sweden fall happened fast. Then they invaded Armenia before I could move in. At that point, I was tired of some Church players, the alliance was too big, I was feeling the danger, time was running out, I saw no easy way to take back Armenia. The schism between the Red Tide and the Church was probably still alive. Because when mmm2 offered me to join is alliance, I studied the possibility.

I almost did. But at the last moment, a few reasons hold me back and I invaded Armenia hold by Mmm2 and England, killing hundred of units. The reasons to stay with the Church and not betray where many; it was deshonoring, damaging my reputation, I had no idea if my enemies where strong like I believed, many players in the opposite alliance where less and less playing. Truth be told, the split of Mmm2 was simply giving me the perfect opportunity for the counter attack and I simply lost all trust when I saw he was in position to invade me the next turn. I don't know if the confusion helped me. But considering thare was 2 more transports for the initial counter attack I didn't buy because of ''change team talk'', the disorganisation was not one direction only. To be 100% honest, I had no idea if I was going to change team or not. The temptation had been strong and backed by my fear, but I took the decision I would never betray in a LT game, I know the pervert effects of treason and do not want to suffer from them. That battle was a bloody one, I took most of the island, they took most of the island in response, just to see me take the whole island right after. Armenia was in my hand and defeat was avoided. Anyway, I do not see how they would have defeated 3 mech inf and 2 marines in my most vulnerable cities.

Armenia: http://imageshack.us/a/img547/8651/armeniaf.png

A turning point of the war was how I got advanced flight when taking Armenia. Paratroopers and bomber would be my main units for now on. I had one of the most productive nation, I prepared quickly my force for Sweden and the Spanish. We saw a weakness in sweden defense and my paratroopers attacked a city they could barely reach from the inside. Normaly, taking it would have been very difficult with only marines, but Paratroopers doesn't need transport and can attack in hordes anywhere. We moved in more units in the fallen city and Sweden was back under control sometime latter.

Sweden: http://imageshack.us/a/img546/7946/swedenn.png

My bomber fleet had moved toward Spain during that time. Moving large amount of paratrooper and artillery along, victory was easy. I dropped directly on the undefended capital. Then I worked a breach with heavy bombing and Paratrooper on the new capital. I split him, but is new capital is out of reach. I moved in artillery and Spain was Sikh territory overnight.

Spain: http://imageshack.us/a/img580/5597/spanishn.png

At that stage, I was receiving strong presure form my allies to send units toward England and Kryon. But I wanted to secure the front with the Maori. My first wave was killing units outside cities and I studied enemy response. I knew something was probably planned again Cgalik, when I saw a transport ready to bridge units, I knew I had to act. It was one turn too early for me, but there was no time. the capital, Rotorua was sitting on a hill with river. The city would be hard to take, but I had so many bomber... Is units where very badly damaged and my paratroopers took the city with minimal lost. Too bad, the split had fail, I looked after the new capital I found out it was possible to take it with my cruze missile and paratroopers reserve. The split worked, I even attacked some more easy targets and prepared to defend. The response was weak, after a few turns, the Maori disapeared.

Maori: http://imageshack.us/a/img90/5350/maori.png

There was little time left, we walked on London, attacking colonies and other cities. London was a megapolis, is size was hard to believe and is defence seemed impossible to take. It took many turns of attacks for akfaew. I was preparing my units for later at the time. Eventually, we had Kryon mainland in range. My bomber worked a breach and invasion began. I wanted to take the capital because I told him we would meet on the battlefield long time ago, and I did. We were surprise, Kryon really didn't care much and we faced little resistance. There was very little time left. I prepared my SDI and planned my nuclear war. I was just going to attack anything in range of my submarines.

Turn 180 was there, I tried to finish the Assyrian. Yet I had too little units for them as he was no priority. Morocco were lucky they was a city too far away for me to take. I sacrificed most of my left over paratroopers on the Mongol without success (but I knew that before even attacking), at least I had the time to conquer some land in the south of the Roman land from Kryon. My empire was almost making a ring around the world. From the Carthagenian land, I was sending some paratroopers invade the Pashtun and the split happen. I had some left over and decided I would attack Portugal just because I could at that point. I had made use of probably more than 30 nukes on the end turn. And even after all that, I had a lot of left over because I couldn't find more target in range. Edrim may say what he want, but I was about to nuke him again to extinction if end game had not stop me, and any player resisting without SDI would have suffered the same fate. I could have ended some of my allies too, but after taking the decision to avoid betrayal, it was not an option I was considering seriously anymore.

Assyrian: http://imageshack.us/a/img707/4459/assyria.png
Morocco: http://imageshack.us/a/img248/9581/morocco.png
Roman: http://imageshack.us/a/img580/8748/romanz.png

And so end Lt31 for the Sikh nation. I hope you enjoyed this history lesson. Unlike the one you learn at school, this one have not been rewritten to make the one who writte it look any better than he really is. I was ruthless and had little care for politics unless there was battle to win or glory to gain. I was kind to those who proved themself to me, yet merciless to others. I had no place in this alliance accepting even the weaker players, yet, a turn of event threw me in and it was an honor to fight side by side with many of them. And for those of the Church members I didn't meet, until next time! If you have question aabout the game, I don't mind answering them.

Edit: I wouldn't mind reading some other people nation history too!

Yes, time limit actualy have the opposite effect of what you wanted.

Both invalid poll just mean we'll agree on something else. Wetness 60? Ok maybe. With steepness 40? No, just no.

#16 Re: LT31 » LT31 Winner Claims » 04.06.2013 20:02:19

It was impossible for us to elliminate all players, so any of them could disagree at that point. Kryon made it clear he would.

#17 Re: LT31 » LT31 Winner Claims » 04.06.2013 19:00:38

If you really want to know the lining of the church here it is for all I know:

0 Wieder (gave up victory so alliance could grow)
0 Xercise (gave up victory so alliance could grow)
0 Viznut (gave up victory so alliance could grow)
1 Dimitril
2 Akfaew
3 Grendel
4 tuhin
5 cgalik
6 sokrat
7 kyrilus

Player who didn't make it in the late game military line up (for reason like major defeat, idling, no interest in competitive game, etc...) but were keep alive so they could have some fun: Soon, Illvilja, Jumangee, Meton, Bamskamp, Elpolodiablo, Vendicar.

But of course, Kryon or edrim will not accept that as winning alliance as they are not part of it. So it's kinda pointless.

#18 Re: LT31 » LT31 Winner Claims » 03.06.2013 04:45:20

Fear not, if there's some winners or if it end up in tie, you where exterminated and you will loose the game just the same. This only affect player who survived.

#19 Re: LT31 » LT31 Winner Claims » 02.06.2013 23:50:04

This is not a definition of a term, it is technical information about a game feature. Since a treaty is not even a player, I don't think it could win a game isn't?

Listen Ifaesfu, I don't even knew a good fraction of my so call massive Alliance. It was a rabble of cease fire, peace, and some alliance treaty. Most players just wanted to stay alive and we had no time to fight each others. Most of them where just standing there, great help indeed. Saying something like: The church claim winning! Would be a total non-sense.

Ok I understand how edrim feel. He's admin and he doesn't want to take shit from regular players and he's also angry because I split is empire just before the end game. On that he is similar to akfaew who doesn't want to commit every poll for lt32 because it take away is "divine power". It's like that, power build ego and bring responsibilities; like making sure people have fun playing on longturn. So tell me, does any of this is fun for you or at least make your precious ego feel better edrim?

And yeah, where not going to take your word as proof. I can pretend anybody was my best buddy and also deserve victory you know.

#20 Re: LT32 » test server » 02.06.2013 18:16:08

Maybe we can agree on steepness 10. Both poll have either strong opposition or withhold.

#21 Re: LT32 » Poll: Great_wall » 02.06.2013 18:14:32

Say the guy who wanted to set wall back to *3 from *2.

#22 Re: LT31 » LT31 Winner Claims » 02.06.2013 18:11:57

A definition of alliance more fitting Kryon view of winning this game would be: A relationship based on an affinity in interests, nature, or qualities. (Source: Google) In this case, the quality would be winning the game.

You can still claim victory for yourself and probably Joris since he delegated to you. But I ask Kryon to put on hold Lord_P and Kull claim until they confirm the alliance and the claim. If you fear they may not see this tread, why don't you email them?

#23 Re: LT32 » Poll: Great_wall » 02.06.2013 17:53:44

Yes it is not the default great wall if you read the poll. It mean +50% multiplied by other factors, as wall retain *2, it mean you get the same defense as if the wall had the default *3.

It cost 500 shields, so I do not expect all players to sacrifice early production to it. But it will be a necessity when artillery and Howitzer will show up.

#24 Re: LT32 » Poll: Great_wall » 02.06.2013 16:59:57

I never said you had to know, one of is city will display the small wonder. If you can't see that city, then you don't know unless you attack with one unit and look at the result. Be aware that if you loose the city with Great Wall, you will loose the +50% defense bonus until you rebuild it.

#25 Re: LT31 » LT31 Winner Claims » 01.06.2013 15:53:02

Kryon said post needed to be done here. He took your post for I don't know whatever reason.
