landmass 50, specials 220, wetness 50, startunits 4xsettler, 6x worker, 1x explorer. Also sciencebox 60.
What this means is that there are slightly less tiles / player. The deserts are smaller so that starting on one shouldn't be that bad.
There are no more 6x settlers but only 4 in the start. However there are 6 workers so that you can speed up the early game and focus more on buildings or military units.
Sciencebox 60 means that the technologies cost 60% of the normal. This is to compensate the smaller map.
Any opinions if the cost of a settler should be 2 instead of 3? I guess we could return to 2 but if someone has a good idea about why not, we can also keep 3.
The maps with these settings look really nice with 2.5.
I am ok with these settings.
The number of tiles per player will be same with previous game?
I prefer settlers costing 2 pop.
I am ok with either islands or continents game.
LT36 had more than 700 tiles / player but the usual setting for most games has been 450. The current settings are 400 tiles / player. The idea is to have a slightly smaller game where the players can't build huge empires just by grabbing all the free land as fast as possible.
Thanks for the feedback.
